Installation: Opencart Template Based Chatbot
Steps to Install the Module
OpenCart’s Admin panel >> Extension >> Installer
- Access Extensions in Admin Panel: Log in to OpenCart’s Admin Panel, navigate to the ‘Extensions’ menu, and select ‘Installer’ from the dropdown.
- Upload the File: On the Installer page, click the file upload icon in the top-right corner. Ensure the file you want to upload is saved on your system with the extension ‘.ocmod.zip’.
- Install the Module: Once the file is uploaded, the module name will appear in the list. Click the green button next to it to complete the installation process.
Permission: Opencart Template Based Chatbot
Now, grant the store administrators permission to edit the module.
OpenCart’s Admin panel >> System >> User >> User Groups >> Edit Administrator
- Go to OpenCart’s Admin Panel and click on ‘System’ to see the drop-down list.
- Then click on ‘Users’.
- A drop-down list will appear when you click on ‘Users.’ From the list, click on ‘User Groups.’
- Edit Administrator will allow permission for the user.
- Set access and modify permission for all related modules.
Configuration: Opencart Template Based Chatbot
OpenCart’s Admin panel >> Extensions >> Extensions >> Choose The Extension Type >> Modules >> Iml Template Based Chatbot >> Install and edit.
- Go to OpenCart’s Admin Panel and click on ‘Extensions’ to see the drop-down list.
- Again, click on ‘Extensions’ from the drop-down list.
- Choose your extension type.
- Click on the green button and install the module.
- Click the edit button, customize all the details, set the status to ‘Enable,’ and save.
Customization tips to follow:
- Fill in all the details, like the title and welcome message, that you want to display to your customers. For better understanding, check the Admin Workflow.
- Customize the types of categories to add some relevant questions that can be useful for customer interaction. Go for a quick look at the above screenshot, and now you can have an idea of what type of categories you should add.
- In the style setting, customize the color of your Title Background, Title Text Color, Welcome Message Background, Welcome Message Text Color, Category Background, Category Text Color, Chat Window Background, Replied Message Background, Replied Message Text, Question Background, On Hover Background, Border’s color, Question Text.
- After all the customization, enable the status and click the save button before moving forward.
Finally, the module installation, permission, and configuration are completed with this step.
Admin Workflow
After the admin completes the configurations, an option(Chatbot) will appear in the left menu. Check Below:
Clicking on the chatbot will lead you to the chatbot question section. To add a question, click on the “Add Button.” This will lead you to the “Create Question” section.
Fill in all the details like questions, answer them, select which category you want to add this question to, add a sub-question, and enable the status. Click on the save button to proceed with the further process.
Note – Here, you can add as many questions as you want.
Note – The best thing about this extension is that the admin will have the most control over the customization.
Customer Interface
Once all the configuration and workflow are completed, a chatbot button will be visible in the customer’s accounts. This will be surfaced in a circular format on the right side of the screen below with a chat logo.
Clicking on the chatbot will open a small section with many categories, relevant questions, answers, and sub-questions related to that answer.
One Question here will lead your customers to some other sub-questions till the question is not answered properly.
Note: Admin can always create an enormous amount of questions, sub-questions, and categories.
When all the questions are answered, the categories sections will again appear on the customer screen. If the questions are not answered properly, your customer can select some other questions from the Categories section.
This process will work like a loop that will help your customers to be more engaged in your chatbot.
